Josh Stern
Josh Stern founded Power Brokers in 2001, and partnered with Harberg in 2005 to create Current Energy after having grown Power Brokers, a Current Energy division, to over $750 million in executed energy transactions. A Plano, Texas native, Stern earned his bachelor’s degree from University of Arizona. Stern’s first entrepreneurial endeavor was a wildly successful marketing publishing company that he grew to over one million publications annually. With energy deregulation and a growing need for complete energy solutions, Stern’s comprehensive approach to providing whole system energy solutions for commercial and residential consumers is already a budding success.
Joseph L. Harberg
Principal Partner Joseph L. Harberg partnered with Stern to create Current Energy in 2005, co-managing and leading strategic initiatives including Energy Management Services and a consumer retail operation. Harberg’s finance and law degrees provided him the background for his venture capital and real estate companies. As the founding and managing partner of Retail & Restaurant Growth Capital, L.P., Harberg’s fund provided $60 million to growing retail and restaurant companies such as Quiznos, Elizabeth Arden Red Door Salons, Uncle Julio's and Café Express. And as one of the original investors of Restoration Hardware, Harberg is accustomed to identifying winning ideas and helping the ideas grow into successful operations.
Donna Regenbaum
As Chief Operating Officer, Donna Regenbaum has over 20 years of experience driving high growth divisions of Dell, Nokia and WebLink Wireless. Having earned degrees from Stanford University and Harvard Business School, Regenbaum’s proven results are in the area of strategy, product development, marketing, sales and operations. Immediately upon joining the Current Energy team in 2007, Regenbaum rolled her sleeves up and started improving processes, margins and developing and implementing strategic initiatives.
Randy Crawford
Randy Crawford joined Current Energy in 2008 with 30 years of financial executive experience. Crawford successfully maintained CFO positions with Rosbottom Interests, Intermerc Corporation and Supreme Beef Processors. After earning his accounting degree, Crawford honed his financial skills while working at Dr. Pepper Bottling Company. Prior to leaving Dr. Pepper to own and operate two “I Can’t Believe It’s Not Yogurt” franchises, Crawford held the Vice President of Finance and CFO position. Crawford’s understanding of finance and operations provides the insight necessary in a high growth environment.
