WHAT IT DOES: Cat waste should not be composted, as its composition can be quite toxic. Cat waste should always be scooped from the litter box and then put in your trash. Using these biodegradable cat pan liners to dispose of the remaining biodegradable litter makes good environmental sense. The bags are non-allergenic which is important because cats can be allergic to plastic and other known allergens.
WHY WE LIKE IT: BioBags are shelf stable, just like paper plates or paper towels. There are no chemical additives to enhance decomposition. The bags degraded naturally when expose to the earth’s elements and micro-organisms in the soil. They “breathe”, which allows heat and moisture to escape or evaporate. This feature reduces bacterial build-up of collected waste, thus reducing odor.
